I need to upgrade my father in law's computer from Windows 98 to Windows 98 SP2. Is this the file I need to use? I couldn't quite tell if this was an update for those who already had SP2 or if this file would actually bring an old system up to Win 98 SP2. Thanks.

Dave, I think this is the answer your looking for? You first need to upgrade to 98se then you can use USP 2.1a & 98se2ME.

David, please check the Windows 98 version by typing VER at the DOS prompt or by opening the System control panel applet before obtaining the correct SP2 pack. Windows 98 first edition is version 4.10.1998 and Windows 98 second edition is version 4.10.2222.
