I'm looking for a free disk image utility that will allow me to create an image of my primary hard drive partition that I can restore whenever some s***ty software infects my Windows 95 with IE components, or things start getting cluttered.

WDE disk editor !!!
Be warned: It is a DOS programm, it is 15 KB in size, and requires some tricks (LBACACHE) and some care when used.
But it does what it should and is free
