can't use the internet for any more than HTTP Rate Topic: -----

I've been conected to the internet for a while now playing an online MMORPG called tibia and using MSN messenger, but a few days ago my hard drive stopped working and the one i've started using now wont let me play the game or connect to msn messenger. my internet cnnection runs though one client and through a switch to 7 other hosts, all other hosts have no problems like mine, i have proxy disbled and no firewall in place at present.

any advice would be very muh appreciated,

Could you explain in a bit more detail? I don't see how using a new hard drive could affect the... ports.

Did you have to reload that machine?

I know you said no firewall is in place, but could the built-in XP SP2 firewall be at work here?
