What will your next PC be?
I just did a P4 3.06 about 4 months ago. May not do anything until the P5s.
Ah crap! Admin, move this poll to the Polls section please. Sorry!
Voted "Custom P4", but that might not be entirely correct ... I asume that it will be a custom build Pentium 5 system ... I'm, of coruse, watching the AMD64 closely too, but at the moment I don't see that 64bit would be of any help to me...
Topic moved to The Poll Center
P5 would most probably be a 64-bit. I'm most probably wrong since I've heard no news regarding a P5.
All I know is that Intel is releasing/released the P4c.
voted custom built AMD 64
what is 'Custom built: Intel 64-bit' ?
i dont think they are planning anything at the moment
Right now i'm on Athlon 700 (512 kb SLC)
Next PC, I don't know. Maybe AMD Athlon again. Depence on prices.
I just did a custom p4 about 5 months ago and did a custom XP for the wife last week.
Who knows, I do custom all the time. Oh yah last week I did a custom AMD t-bird for a home FTP server. I always do custom, never pre-built. They are crap!
Intel 64-bit includes the Xeon processor
I think I will a new Alienware PC next, they have awesome specs, nice case and they are a top notch all rounder system
AMD 64 will probably what I will get next, especially if I can get the 64-bit windows then. I will be able to afford upgrading in April (and if my wife lets me... :/ lol) while I'm in Korea. Cheap hardware out there, I hear!
Yeah, lower sales tax in most asian countries, especially Hong Kong.
yeh i know wat ya mean
I might do my shopping in HK next summer... let's hope that the government doesn't raise the sales tax which currently stands at 0%
Custom built my P4 3 weeks ago. Next PC could be an Intel Prescott with PCI Express and the next version of SATA
The best that I can afford, regardless of home built or not. Unfortunately you know what they say about a Fool and his money...Lets just say it's kinda tight... :/
a Athlon XP 64bit for sure, but this rig will go for atleast 6-8 more months

Crap!! Intel is taking the lead
I'm still using a 1.2 GHz Tualatin Pentium III, and all my software runs smooth as silk. So I'm not wasting any money on unnecessary upgrades for a long time. I voted Pentium 4, but like some other's have mentioned it will probably be the successor to that; only time will tell though. All I know is it will be an Intel chipset.

Voted for custom Intel - 64 bit... that includes the processors from Intel that we currently do not know of.. Until next summer I will only need slight upgrades, so I'll just wait and see..
Have an P4 already..
