Best 'skin' or visual style I have seen yet...

check this one out. Very COOOOOOOOOOOL. Just got installed on ALL my systems - of course I am a Lord of the Rings fan since WAY BACK!

Too much going on for me... but nonetheless creative theme by gondor

i like themes along the line of:

prophecy 1.4
blackcomb pro 1.1
classic v2
watercolor v3

I even have matching winamp taskbar controls...

do you have to pay to use those themes.... i mean to first get that program that allows you to use those themes... or how does this thing work?

Samantha- Follow these directions to install the themes, they dont cost anything.....But styles XP does cost to regiester it but you can use it without and add all the neat themes everyone has.

Visual Styles
In order to install visual styles, you must install TGT Soft's Styles XP (go here to get it....https://narcissus.ntsecure.net/tgtsoft/secure/stylexpplusinstall_0_6_1.zip) This will allow non-signed/checksummed themes with custom visual styles. Otherwise, the edited visual style defaults back to Windows Clasic.

Simple instructions for installing a visual from this site:

Download the visual styles .zip to your computer.
Extract the .zip file to your %windir%resourcesthemes (probably c:windowsresourcesthemes).
Do Start > Settings > Control Panel to open the control panel.
Double-click the Display icon and go to the Appearance tab.
Select the theme from the "Windows and Buttons" list and hit the Apply button.

Hey samantha...

StyleXP is shareware, and if you want to keep it eventually it costs money.

There is another free method. But first try Stylexp just to see if you like the new themes..
