easy :)

right click the start menu, click on properties.

The first option it gives you is a choice between 'start menu' or 'classic start menu'.

choose classic..

done!

For someone who needs help your manners leave a lot to be desired. Besides... You weren't very clear as to what you wanted to accomplish. Ask a vague question, get a generic answer.

Incidently, I do not volunteer answers to rude people.

classic start menu can be set in your WINNT.SIF under [Shell].

lol wtf.. 18 posts in and you're already trying to p**s off the forum members?

seriously.. it's easy to do in windows, and it's an obvious setting in nLite.
If you decide to learn some manners in the near future, people around here will be much more inclined to help!

Well I have to defend the guy, in his first post he posted two
pictures of what he does not want and what he does want and
also said in that first post...

"so windows installs and you have unmolested gui"

It is the people saying "right click" this and "right click" that
who ARE stupid because the guy can obviously do it manually
since he posted screenshots of the two different ways it can
look!

People do need telling they are "not very good at this" when its the truth.

Whats amazing is no one has even answered this question STILL to
this day - put it in WINNT.SIF alright - but thats not an answer or
should I say thats not the code.

ok
give me 10 mins to upload the screen shots

and i did some thinking on it
ok
you didt change the start menu
you changed the windows theme your running / using
your using windows classic style

if you want the classic start menu do this
nlite -> on the unattended install page
goto desktop themes than click the box " classic start menu"
to get the start menu to look like this Posted Image

or to have the one you got
pick from the drop down menu on the desktop themes page
from " default theme"
windows classic

In WINNT.SIF under [Shell] you put this code...

DefaultStartPanelOff = Yes

This automatically puts "My Computer" and "My Documents" on the Desktop.

(Info is from the MSFN Unattended guide)
