Anyways, you need a little background information before I get to the good stuff. My grandmother doesn't speak, read, or understand ANY English. She is an Italian landed immigrant living in Canada and has been for the last 40 or so years.
When my grandmother gets a letter in the mail that isn't in Italian, she usually gets either my mother or my aunt to translate it for her. Yesterday, she got a letter in the mail FROM SPAIN telling her that she had won close to €800,000. My grandmother has never been to Spain and does not intend to go there anytime soon.
After taking a look at this letter, I knew right away that it was a fake. Just to make sure, I did a few Google searches for different phrases in the letter. I wasn't too surprised to find that this was indeed a scam. It seems that people everywhere have been receiving these letters, including some in the USA, New Zealand, Ireland, etc.
I have attached the letter for your fun and enjoyment.

Enjoy!
