I've always used Easy CD Creator 4 to make bootable CDs. However, it does not recognize the CD deck in my new computer.

I bought Easy CD Creator 7 on eBay, and what a bloated piece of complete crap that is. Therefore, I decided to use Nero 6 instead. I followed the help instructions, and have so far made 2 coasters. The first one complained that DOS was not available. The 2nd one booted into DR-DOS, and refused to run setup.exe.

I had no trouble making bootable W2K installation disks with Easy, but can't figure this Nero out. Google is no help.

Can anybody explain exactly how to do this? I chose the option to make a bootable CD, D&D'd the contents of my USP5 slipstreamed W2K installation directory into the Nero compilation window, and burned the CD.

using nero buring rom slect CD-ROM (Boot) in boot tab locate boot image and enable advance option and select No Emulation and change value 1 to 4 in loaded sectors
add ur source dir file to project and give name to disc and burn CD

That's almost what I did, except I just drag n' dropped my directory into the interface. Do I need to make an .ISO first?

to get a good, windows 2000 or XP boot cd,

install nlite (and if you dont have it already netframework 2 (or the alternative from nliteos.com 's website)

with this app youi can:
> easily slipstream a service pack
> aply some tweaks
> make it un-attended
> and create a bootable iso that just works,
> and do many other things as well, if you think youl need it...

speaking of using Nero, download and install Nero 6.6.1.4 to create boot CDs. if you have an older release of Nero Burning ROM 6, upgrade to the latest release [6.6.1.4]

haven't you read or downloaded the Nero 6 user's guide, donutbandit?
get it here:
http://ww2.nero.com/...ning_ROM_6.html

OR Nero's Help file (included in the Nero 6.6.1.4 Language pack)?
