italian pack is corrupted, i downloaded it several times from your repository but it always gives 7-zip unpack error when installation starts :(

same message if I try to unpack it manually using 7-zip

You are getting these errors becuse you are trying to install it on an already inplace machine where you have previously installed Adobe Reader 8. The installers I distribute are meant for unattended installations.

Try the installation on a clean machine (VMware etc.) and see if you still get the error.

Thnx to you, Shark007. You spend your time in this forum and you need some help, specially with other languages than English.

Spanish version:
The file does not open in Firefox browser and it freezes it. If you download the file and then open it, it works fine...

Hi all just wondering would this work as a silent installer if integrated with nLite:

[General]
BuildDate=07/02/2007
description=Adobe Reader 8 Lite Extreme Installation Package
language=English
title=Adobe Reader Lite Extreme
version=8.0
website=http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=88167

[EditFile]
I386\SVCPACK.INF,SetupHotfixesToRun,AddProgram

[AddProgram]
AR8Lite_Extreme.exe

I suggest you test this in a virtual machine such as VMware. It will install OK but the issue you may face is uninstalling. I havent had the time to test svcpack scenario's with v8 but with v7.08 it could not be uninstalled properly when installed via svcpack. I have posted a warning that these installers are NOT svcpack compatible. Using any method after 1st boot like runonceex for example, doesnt have the uninstall issues.

First of all, thank you to Shark, great work with these installers, and great help your repository.
I've tested the spanish version and verified that doesn't work in handling pdf through a web browser (it freezes, as Annita says), and no wonder, since 'External Windows Handler (EWH32.api)' is missing.

Regards,
AV

Shark, the versions I found (from the link in your sig) were from December 15th. Is there another place to download from? I searched the whole thread and I didn't find any links... Thanks!

English, German and French versions did not require updates. yes, those 3 are dated Dec 15, 2006.
