hi everyone! I'm having problems inserting pictures in our Christmas letter!

I have MS Word 2000 on a Dell PC with XP. I used Insert from File, Format, Size, Layout and Square for one picture successfully, with the text wrapping around it perfectly as I drag it around the document. But when I tried the same process with a second picture (any picture), it disappears from my document after I hit OK after choosing the "Square" layout. Other layout selections did not help. I could get the picture back by Undo-ing Format Object, but that only brings it back to its original size and not "wrapping". I've tried Copy and Paste-Special, but again, the picture disappears after I choose my preferred layout ("square".)

What could be the problem?
