As it says, I thought I could simply right click the empty start menu and re-enable the Internet button (and/or Email, and/or drag and dropping (actually, drag and drop says it's enabled but still doesn't work)) and can't. How do I re-enable this mod that was done with nLite?

XP Pro x64 SP1

I'm guessing it's just a reg hack,

using nLite to set some tweaks lead to delete some keys in registery, so according to my poor experience I was not able to get back a thing I've did or tweaked with nLite. But if there is any one know how, please tell Because I really want to know.
Thanks

Try this in a .reg-file:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}]
@="Start Menu Pin"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}\InProcServer32]
@=hex(2):25,00,53,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,52,00,6f,00,6f,00,74,00,25,\
  00,5c,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c,00,53,00,48,00,\
  45,00,4c,00,4c,00,33,00,32,00,2e,00,64,00,6c,00,6c,00,00,00
"ThreadingModel"="Apartment"

Then try to re-enable the Internet button.

I would start over with a clean source and make sure you read each tweak you apply carefully.
