Vista on my laptop?

6 posts in this topic

Hi

I'm going to be given a free copy of Vista Home Premium from my work. I was just wondering if you think my T4010 lifebook would be able to run it ok? I know it won't be able to run aero because of the graphics card. But do you think it will be able to cope with the rest?

Thanks Steve

It should run it fine. It runs decently on my 1.73Ghz Centrino.

I believe it is recommended to have 128mb GPU memory.

I am running Vista perfectly fine on my Acer TravelMate 8000 series, laptop.

Specs.

Intel Pentium M 2,0 GHz

1,5Gb DDR PC2700 RAM

ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 128Mb

Seagate 80Gb HD 7200 RPM 8Mb

True, in order to enjoy the aero experience. If you don't mind not using it, 64MB of graphics RAM is OK.
