How can i overclock my rig? newbie to overclocking? Rate Topic: -----

Hey everybody, i'm sorry if this is a stupid ? but was wondering if i can overclock my PC, how and with what utilities or tutorials.

And is it risky, cause a friend mine keeps on saying overclock it and to ask a PRO is it Necessary

My specs ;

CPU = 3.4 P4 Dual Core (950)
Motherboard = Asus P5WD2 E Premium Bios Ver 0604
Ram = 4GB Corsair 667 (1 x 4)
Graphic Card = Evga 7900GTX 512
Sound Card = Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ZS Platinum Pro 7.1
Hard disks = 1 x 74Gb Raptor (Windows), 500 x 2, 5 x 300

In his deffense, that is for A64 CPU's, and it works a bit differently for Intel chips. It's not a massive differance, but some of the names of the bios options are different.

lol, this is a post from january.. anyways, he still should have used the guide, as you said, its not a massive difference. its basically the same idea.
