MOHAA crashes giving an error: Tried to read from a zip file textures/mohtest/rubble2trans.jpg that was not open.

I think its a corrupted .pak file, any suggestions how to fix it.

Try doing a repair install, or even reinstalling.

During installation or when opening the game? It doesn't sound like a .PAK file corruption issue.

I fixed it myself.

Details: Pak2.pak in the second CD had two files in it which were corrupted, i copied two another jpeg files from the same directory and renamed them exactly as the corrupted files. All this was done using a tool pakscape. No crashes and it loads the next mission.

It was when one mission finished and another started, it just crashed giving the above error.

I read on internet elsewhere that few retailers had CD's with corrupted pak2.pak files and gamers who bought them had to replace that file to get it working. That was my hint. :)
