Where is the Setup Manager util for vista Rate Topic: -----

been looking for the setupmgr.exe/setup manager util for vista, i've read on microsoft site that there is one but i cant find it on my enterprise disk?

can anyone help me to find where it is (disk or download )or even email it to me at: cjoyce1980@hotmail.co.uk

Do you mean the WAIK? (Windows Automated Installation Kit)

This allows you to configure the Vista setup.

It can be downloaded here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

If the WAIK is not what you require, could you describe what you mean by "setup manager"?

I'm tempted to say that setup manager was replaced by WSIM (Windows System Image Manager) which is part of the WAIK.

I say this because the presentation is dated 2005 (so the screenshots are from an early beta), and also the slide is titled "Setup Manager - Creating the Unattend.xml" which is exactly the purpose of WSIM.

Looking at the screenshot in the background, it has the very basic elements and design of WSIM.

However, someone else may know better!
