Hello All,
I hope this is the correct place to post this.

Here is a project I am trying to find out if it is plausible. I have done some searches on this but did not find a definite answer. Here is the situation. I want to create a batch / script file and/or locate a program that can be ran by command line that will automatically extract the music from the cd rom or cd roms and locate the album information if needed and put it in folder. I just have a large amount of cds that I would like to turn into mp3s and if I could just put 3 cds into the roms and just click a button and walk away.

If anybody has any suggestions or comments, they would be greatly appreciated.

PS. This is for a system running XP Pro

Thanks,
T

Yes, it is doable.
You need a command line ripper, like AKRIP:

Search for "CD ripper" on google, you'll find many of them.

A MP3 encoder, like BladeEnc or LAME, if the ripper has not MP3 capbilities.

An ID3 tagger, like:

All in all, I would suggest trying EAC:
http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

that does support command line parameters:
