Considering Disk Cleanup should not touch anything in your \Users\Documents folders, I'm not sure exactly what happened. What actually did it delete, and where were those files?

it deleted almost every file and folder from my F: drive. files deleted ranged from installers to mp3s to documents to videos etc.

Was that your documents folder, or just a drive you use for those types of files?

I use my disk cleanup and never had a problem.

Hmm sounds strange, but thanks for the heads up! I'll double check each time i run cleanup from now on.

@cluberti - it is just my external drive.

btw this happened when i ran disk cleanup for my F: drive, but as i said, i also had similar results when i ran it for my C: drive.

@BoardBabe - this problem could be just my system but hopefully this wont happen to others.
