How to make Vista bootable DVD Rate Topic: -----

Hi im new bie to tis forum.If i am posting at wrong place im sorry.

Recently i downloaded vista enterprises edition with as a ISO.I extracted those files and i lost original iso file.Now i want to make again as a bootable but dont know how? Used Power iso,Ultra Iso, Magic ISO but no use Pls help me?

I dont know which file want select to boot

boot.sdi
bootfix.bin

I selected Bootfix.bin on booting its says Boot from cd or dvd press any key

If i press any key its getting stuck

Download CDImage

Use the command-line tool to make Vista bootable.

this ur vista sorce and name of output ISO
well..
what will be the format

UDF or ISO

Make as UDF as original file system.

cdimage -n -m -u2 -bX:\MyVistaDVD\boot\etfsboot.com X:\MyVistaDVD\ X:\Vistax86.iso


Download CDImage

X:\MyVistaDVD => path of source
X:\Vistax86.iso => Output bootable Image

Use the command-line tool to make Vista bootable.

As same i copied to d: drive and rename to same name

While runnig programme this its says cant delete.Y is that?

Am i want to make ISO image before run this

try this new one cdimage v2.52

cdimage -m -u2 -bD:\Vista\boot\etfsboot.com D:\Vista\ D:\Vistax86.iso

Nero it convert iso but it detect as non booatble in magic iso and all other iso creater softwares

OMG, I've been searching around the web for a few hours, and wasting a bunch of dvds just for this info...=X

This does not work on the business n edition? ....

I get internal errors when booting. even tested in msv2007. doesnt work at all.

I will test it again......

(Windows installation has encounted an error and needs to be restarted) :(

i dunt think the method and the bootloader differs with the version of the vista, there might be somthing else wrong.

U should post Ur error code or Screenshot to identify actual problem.

i read through the topic and didn't understand. what do i do to get "Press any key to boot from CD.." on my vista dvd. assuming i don't want to makeiso again, but i'm able to inject something into iso with Ultraiso. can anyone help?
