You are allowed to turn them back on once you are in the air.you understand it correctly. but as wfunction said, hes not sure if they will let him use a gps, since they dont let you even turn on ur laptop's wifi. but you are perfectly allowed to use a laptop. tain Posted March 7, 2007 Share Posted March 7, 2007 Very few consumer electronics can actually interfere with commerical avionics. But that doesn't have anything to do with airline policy.
