BonkEnc is a CD ripper, audio encoder and converter for various formats. It can produce MP3, MP4 / M4A, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, Bonk and FLAC files. BonkEnc supports freedb protocol level 6 (Unicode), CDText and ID3v2 tags and is available in several languages.

This is release 1.0 of BonkEnc. It fixes some bugs found in RC 2 and adds Romanian language support.
Encoders have been updated to recent versions. BonkEnc now uses the aoTuV Ogg Vorbis encoder.

Changes:

- added Romanian language support
- added a user manual
- fixed crash when clicking "Edit language file" in the config dialog
- fixed reading of low bitrate MP3 files
- added CD ripping support to command line encoder
- fixed some command line encoder bugs
- fixed bugs in the graphical installer
- upgraded FLAC to version 1.1.4
- upgraded FAAD2 to version 2.5
- upgraded FAAC to version 1.25
- upgraded Ogg Vorbis to aoTuV beta 5
- some minor bug fixes
