Ive heard of a few having trouble, what they did was individuly pick the updates from:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.asp?

Its a pain but thats how they got around it

Glad to catch you on the board dude! Thanks for the advice, that's exactly what I did. I got a new PC and formatted, installed XP, and manually searched for those updates.

i got the same problem just scans for updates but never downloads..

but you dont need to worry.. i think problems caused by microsoft update server and it ll be alright in a few days..

you can manually seach and pick updates one by one from download seach but i cant find all the updates that automatic update found..

best way is wait for a few days..

I wonder if you're getting a U.K. Microsoft site? [/quote:9412cc85c4]

Most probably Conan.

Hey Conan, does every patch/security update appear on Microsoft Update?

I got a few patchs from warp2search the other day released by MS, but they were not on the update site, what gives?

the trick is to log on the cooperate windows update site..

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/d...?corporate=true

After going there click windowsupdate, select winxp pro (eng)..and proceeed....

you'll notice a total of 23 updates..

I know there were a few ie problems, but they are now combined into 1 collective patch

Other updates include (custom updates to drivers, etc...)

For the lazy people who have the updates but wanna check how the site looks like .. check screenshot

I also tried that before doing a manual search, the corporate site didn't work either. I had some fixes stored on my drive though from earlier visits to the corporate update site.
