I know that alot of this has been talked about before, however with a gathering of information for how to intergrate hot fixes, DX9, WM9, .NET, Drivers and other assorted files into the windows setup would make alot of ppl happy. I don't mean crap like .cmd or svcpak. I mean full on add and replace of the i386 files so that the new files are install and only them.
Any one understand this? It would be a much faster setup and much less rubbish would be on the cd so more programs can be applied

whats the name of the directX file? I didnt see it as a .cab file altogether! And then the hive listings, won't they need to be updated? I guess the only BIG problem I have is that I don't know the names of the files im after. If I can obtain a list then that would be easy enogh. But I also want to add .NET. Though I guess that would be easier then DX and WM as you don't have to find the files to replace. ****, Microsoft had to make it all very difficult now didn't they?
