I have AMD 64-bit CPU. But when I replace the ntoskrnl.exe to a customized one... it does not change my boot screen. What do I need to change to modify this?

Probably your processor utilizes ntkrnlpa.exe instead of ntoskrnl.exe for booting OS.

Mine is not a dual core. It is a 64-bit. So will it still use the ntkrnlpa.exe file?

what processor is it?

you say its an AMD, but there are AMD Athlon 64, AMD Athlon X2 and AMD Athlon FX. Thats just the Athlon range tehere is also the Turion range as well.
It helps to know which processor so we can further definbe the problem.
