can't Upgrade from SP1 to SP2 Rate Topic: -----

hi frnds...

few days before i have scanned my PC (Service Pack 2)with JV power tools and when i restart my pc. it cant start.. so that i have install missing file From Bootable disk (SP1) and my system starts but

now it becomes service pack 1 when i try to upgrade my sys to SP2 it give me this error...

What do the details say? I would copy the previously mssing files from a sp2 disk.

U can't do that.
I think Ur Installed XP has gone XX-Hoch-Poch-XX
U should try for clean install using XPSP2 disc

Please do a clean install and integrate SP2 into your source with the integrator on RyanVM's site or with nLite if you wish.

try this run " sfc/scannow " maybe it's useful~

It sounds like it's quite possible that you have SP2 files on your SP1 box, causing SP2 not to install (especially if you've got a newer ntoskrnl on the box). What happens if you install with the /o /n switches?

did u modify the system files using transformation pack or something? this error may be due to that.

My hunch is that he's using a modified boot screen.

before this i have modify Booot screen and welcome screen also.

Right know all are set to Normal.....

how can i remove old settings bcoz it's no more avilable..

Just put your XP+SP1 CD in and type sfc /scannow in Run.
