I'm don't work, I have used this procedure:
mount boot.wim, and select longhorn
in soucers edit spwizimg.dll replace 517.bmp and saved dll
unmount boot.wim........but and like if you had not made the modification ...... 517 bmp remains originates them.
mistake perhaps to unmount the boot.wim?
Thank !!!

umount must be accompanied by /commit switch 2 imagex
the change in boot.wim's "spwizimg.dll" reflect only wen booting from dvd
for starting install from windows u must change the same in sources dir of dvd root

Ok it works. I didn't understand.
It's because I put 1 instead of 2 with the imagex mount command.
imagex /mountrw e:\vista\sources\boot.wim 2 g:\vista2
And then in the sources folder there is the spwizimg.dll that I have modified and it works whith a bootable DVD.
Thx to all.

Yes! Finally I got it to work!
Thanks all!
One more question...
Is there a way to make that front window transparent, so that I can see
the custom background that's behind it?
If so what programs should I use?
Thanks!

I replaced the bmp file with my custom one with a size of 1x1px because I thought by
doing that all I'm removing is that stupid window which is blocking my nice background.
Instead of just removing that window it has also remove buttons in
order for me to to install Vista! e.g. Where the f*** is the I agree check box?! LOL
Then I realize instead of changing that background in the back, why not
just change the one in the front. So that's what I did.
The back image is 517, the front one is 516.
As for resizing the Windows size, I'll take a look at that.
Thanks for the info.

It's custom build and setup for my system especially, so sharing wouldnt make much sense since it wouldnt work 100% at other systems.
I made the application with an autorunbuilder. So I suggest you look into that to make something similar.
