Thats also correct, but if you want to modify further with the waik you will need the catalogue files. My Idea Dobby, to remove many of the bloated files within not the p***y ones OK......

First of all this isnt the place to discuss vlite... but hey who am i......

Vlite doesnt remove everything, i mount the install.wim and remove everything by hand, like all example videos and music etc.

I only have boot.wim , install.wim and the .clg

folders : Boot, efi, and sources

So thx again MAVERICKS CHOICE , works fine for me.

to further
for a BIOS based PC only two folders required
boot and sources (with right content)
efi, upgrade etc can be deleted

also
from boot directory etfsboot.com,memtest.exe,bootfix.bin and fonts folder can be removed

i m not sure abt the en-us folder, probably it can also be removed

with sp1 der is no mui for bootsect.exe so en-us can be removed.

so boot dir will end up with bcd and boot.sdi

btw why m$ ships boot.wim with WinPE (boot.wim #1)and WinRE( with setup.exe)(boot.wim #2) ?
deleting winpe will not reduce the boot.wim size by much but still why so ??
