Thank for work. :thumbup
This new version has the same problems as the previous one:
1) creates a common files\system into the common files\system folder; eg. c:\program files\common files\common files\system\

2) I see a blank error box about msjava, I not have msjava installed but Java SUN (Image attach).

Good job!

Attached File(s)

Yes indeed! Nice work MD - looking after the security concerns of Windows 98SE IE users!
All looks good on my PC.

I too can confirm point 1 above with the extra empty folders.

Thanks a lot for your kind appreciation.

I've noticed you're a fan of Babylon 5 [as am I]...
I'm sure you remember G'kar's famous speech from "Survivors" [season 1 episode 11]:
"The universe is driven by the complex interaction between three ingredients: matter, energy, and enlightened self-interest." ;)
Quoted from this page.
Mr. Katsulas was brilliant in that role, I can't imagine G'kar being played by any1 else.
[/rant]

Best wishes,

Diehard B5 fan. The continual barrage of moral dilemmas in the series actually helped guide me through my own.

The quote you mentioned, "The universe is driven by the complex interaction between three ingredients: matter, energy, and enlightened self-interest.", is a sort of absolute truth that is almost undeniable.

Andreas Katsulas was born for the role and died in it. I personally believe G'Kar was in fact Andreas, hidden only by the makeup. It did take a while for them to move him out of his early role as an antagonist to protagonist, his real personality, as the series progressed.

It really was a tragic series with both Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) and Richard Biggs (Dr Steven Franklin) dying shortly after and both were said to be "exploring the rim" as their final epitaph.

I continue to watch the series and the movies along with the 1 season spinoff Crusade.

Cheers and thanks for the quote link!

You too, and thanks for your thoughts.
I guess I may also be something of a devoted fan, I've watched the entire B5 [all 5 seasons and the movies] twice, and also attended a local sci-fi convention a while back, where I've met Jerry Doyle [Michael Garibaldi].

Their epitaphs couldn't have been more appropriate, both actors will be remembered for their great roles in B5.

Seems that Mr. Katsulas' last B5 role was in "The Legend of The Rangers" [2002 SciFi TV channel 2 hour miniseries, that was supposed to kick-start a new B5 spin-off]. He was the only good thing that happened to that low budget, B-flic, which crashed horribly because they chopped the original script from the genius of Mr. Straczynski [whom I've had the pleasure to meet at Comic-Con 2002 in San Diego].
I've also watched "The Lost Tales", that direct-to-DVD sequel from 2007, not the same without the main cast members. :( It was a nice surprise thou, to see Teryl Rothery [Dr. Janet Fraiser from SG-1, another 1 of my favorite sci-fi series] act opposite Bruce Boxleitner.

Best wishes.

There seems to be a small problem with the unofficial 978207 update. It puts an uninstall option on Add/Remove Programs, but it doesn't work: it references %windir%/inf/Q978207.inf, which doesn't get created.

I don't think it's a big deal since I don't see a reason to uninstall 978207, but wanted to let you know.

For all non-english users:

I never had used the MDIE6CU before, because I didn't wanted to loose the GUI in my favorite language. ;)

Now, here's what I did:
installed the MDIE6CU 3.4
and then replace all files 'on the top' with the last update of IE & OE in my own language,
like explained in this thread: http://www.msfn.org/...eaks-windows-98.

... and it works! Everything run fine and in the right language.

Big thanks to Maximus Decim! :thumbup

When I installed MDIE6CU 3.4, the only file I didn't allowed was
VBSCRIPT.DLL, because I had already the version 5.6.0.8838 coming from the Win2000 Q981350 Fix (MS10-022)
(I've got it from the Unofficial SCR569X.EXE).

Is there a special reason why you don't use it in MDIE6CU (stability?)

I have a permanent error with last MSHTML.DLL version 6.00.2800.1649 (French)
at this page: http://www.dico-des-.../wesh-gros.html and all similar page in that site.

Attached File  Crash_MSHTML_DLL.png (5.12K)
Number of downloads: 3

It is crashing my Internet Explorer 6 (with Maxthon). :}

Attached File  Crash2_MSHTML_DLL.png (4.54K)
Number of downloads: 4

The page is opening fine in Opera.

I have tried to disable javascript but it is still the same.
I have also tried several compatibility mode (or disabling) KernelEx, but it is not helping.

Previous version 6.00.2800.1646 of MSHTML.DLL, is doing the same thing. :(

Could anyone try this page, to tell me what he get there?
