Shut down Messenger when Outlook 2003 is open

4 posts in this topic

I am running XP Professional.

The system tray always contains the little Windows Messenger icon, with a cross beside it because we don't have messenger (or don't have an account).

Question is, is it possible to shut it down or disable it in 'settings' so that it doesn't fire up? I haven't found a way to get rid of it while Outlook 2003 is running.

I like a tidy system tray. ;}

Thanks!

Does anyone have any suggestions for this one? No replies at all so far...

Thanks a lot! Sorry for delay, I've been away. I'll give it a go.
