Hello?

Out of curiosity, what is the 32-pin socket used for
on some of the ethernet adapters?

Is it for some kind of memory upgrade or something?

Thanks.

Hi icemannd,

Thanks.

I did a quick google search on this boot rom,
but I am not getting any good leads.

Conceptually, is boot rom similar to bios?

What is boot rom? What (skills) do I need
to program this rom or bios for that matter?

what kind of card is it? Normally you have to buy a chip from the card manufacturer, as I recall. But I have not done anything with it and have only seen it set up on some old 3com nics from 8-9 years ago.
