Changes between RC2 and RC3:

- Fixed invalid argument type on dll call
- Reduced flashing windows on serial activation

Try to test for any invalid pointer operation or access violation errors when clicking the next button on the serial registration window as noticed by Jordi.c. You can test multiple times by clicking the back and next buttons.

P.S. I would really like to hear some opinions about Nero 7 Lite.

Nice one, Ach!!

This one hardly pauses at all towards the end!! Everything works fine, same as the other releases. And it still saves my "setup" preferences from previous install. I clicked "Back" and "Next" all the way through 3 times. No problems.
(Installed on top of RC2)

As for the Lite version... maybe I'll test it. But I doubt it. All I use is Micro.

I should be doing a fresh install this weekend sometime, and will test RC3 on that system as well. Will keep you posted.

Install went without problem (entered my genuine serial number)

Then the fun started

When I started the program run as Admin I got the following:
 Capture1.JPG (46.53K)
Number of downloads: 18

I then clicked enter serial number and added my serial which did not appear on the screen.
After clicking OK the following came up:
 Capture3.JPG (30.62K)
Number of downloads: 13

Restarted nero and each time I start the program I get:
 Capture4.JPG (39.98K)
Number of downloads: 12

However if I click cancel the program starts and runs perfectly.

Running Vista Ultimate

Can you please post all installer switches. Like al the components, start menu / desktop / quicklaunch icons, serial number and associate file types.

This installer is made using InnoSetup. The generic switches for Inno should work just fine:

Oke.

But the commands on the first post are from an older version. I see only 9 components (maybe this switches are changed) and i count 20 components in the installer. Then i don't know the tasks for quicklaunchicon and start menu icons.

And i know the commands are only located in the orginal ISS file. Not the unpacked one.

Have now tried Nero Lite 7.10.1.0 and get exactly the same problems as my earlier post re Micro.
Although it is possible to install ok and use the program, do you know of any way to stop the nag screen asking my to update every time I start the program?

Working perfect on my winxp... just when finish install.... a box jump out said nero have not enough package for da serial only and auto exit...

What i do is after the install command :

Nero7960_nld_lite.exe /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /SP-

After that i execute this reg :

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info]

This removes the trial reg etc.

Then i execute my own :

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info]
"User"="name"
"Company"="company name"
"Serial7"="xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx"
"EulaAccepted"="1"
"MissingFilesState"="0"

Maybe only add this will work to :

"MissingFilesState"="0"

I get this error with 7.10.1.0 Lite

System = Dutch Vista Ultimate

I don't know why you get that error message spoof. Did you had installed Nero 7 or Nero 7 Lite before on that system?
Is this a 32-bit system or 64-bit system?

Good news, I might have fixed the C++ Runtime error which occurs when updating the serial number.

Is there any real different between the micro versions 7.7.5.1, 7.9.6.0, and 7.10.1.0 ? Besides the higher version number, are there any improvements? Or do they all work exactly the same?

I tested this on a clean XP SP2, the registry details are entered fine but when trying to run Nero ROM or Express from the start menu I receive the following error:

Yes sir, but i have it in 2 regs, dont know if it works in 1 reg , i think not.
