Hello

I'm looking for the hotfix of KB841880. I eMailed Microsoft, but they answered, Windows 2000 is not supported anymore and so they can not send me this hitfix. since I just bought my Western Digital My Book HDD a few days ago I know since a few days that there is a bug isn the USBSTORE.SYS driver :realmad:
does anybody has this hotfix. I do not know if this hotfix is language dependend (I don't think since it is only a driver file). But I need the germany version, but I'd take what I get....

Thanks in advance

I can't send it to you, because I don't have it, but this hotfix _is_ language dependant. Also, since this isn't a security hotfix, you need an extended support contract to receive this hotfix.

Why would they give you that response? Windows 2000 isn't EOL'ed! It's not 2010! :realmad:

Emphasis mine. Windows 2000 entered extended support almost 2 years ago - as such, non-security hotfixes require a premier contract with extended support for the product to receive the hotfix.
