I am trying to get Drive Image XML working from WinPE but haven't had any luck. I am not even sure it can be run from WinPE and since this is freeware there isn't much support.

I am able to get it working with BartPE but we are not susposed to use that. Also I have worked with imagex but this is more of a deployment tool and I am using DriveImage XML to backup specific systems.

It is very easy to get driveimage xml to work i WinPE 2.0. Simply copy the installation folder of driveimage, after installing the app in XP, vista whatever, to be included in the creation of your WinPE 2.0

Sadly, I am not finding it so easy. WinPE 2.0 boots up. I execute DriveImage XML. Nothing happens. No error messages, no nothing. This doesn't give me many clues as to what is going wrong.

If anyone has managed to get DriveImage XML running from WinPE 2.0 - that's the Vista version, not BartPE or WinPE 1.0 - please let me know what you did.

Thanks.
