:blushing: Ancient Window NT (SP6) server, basically just there to assign the domain with users. The domain users use XP Pro. I want to plug a wireless router in and use my laptop wirelessly to administer.

The access point uses a default (192.168.1.1 IP) but the domain uses 10.0.0.x.
The software for the router doesn’t work on the NT server (I tried) but it can work through one of the domain users (XP pro).

Do I:
Plug in the access point into a separate hub attached to one of the XP machines (users) –
then use a cross over cable
then change the server to use the same IP range just until I can pick up the router?

Or can I just plug the router into any spare Ethernet port from the server?

I’m confused…sry I’m slow :blushing:
