Hello, I did some tests with Windows update. It seems that it ignores which components are removed by vLite. When I scan for updates, it lists Cumulative update for IE and a hotfix for Windows Mail, even though I have removed IE and Windows Mail. I installed these updates to test. I thought that it maybe it should just replace the installed files, ie core. But all files were copied to my HD. Also iexplore.exe, which was removed by vLite. Does anyone know a better patch manager than Windows Update? I personally use Belarc Advisor, which lists far fewer hotfixes than Windows Update, but even it lists Cumulative update for IE and a hotfix for Windows Mail. Fred

Hello, I have installed a vLited version of Vista SP 1. I've only used it for two weeks but it seems very stable. Now I have integrated SP 2 using reverse integration. I have tested the Vista SP 2 disc and it works. Now my intention is to create a vLited Vista SP 2 disc. I will probably remove the same components as when I vLited Vista SP 1. Can I do a repair install with the vLited Vista SP 2 disc and by that way install SP 2? Fred
