I tried to open some old .wps files on a newer pc and could not see any text. All I see is
žÑ ¤ ÀO¹2º ü+±P÷à € C O N T E N T S ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ C o m p O b j ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ V Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks |

there night be some incompatibility between office 2000 and the program your files were written in.

Some versions of Works files are incompatible:
