  1. Kurt_Aust, I always run the net_startup_fix on every XP instalattion it compiles the modules and the problem is gone, I need to rebuid my iso with the previous fixes I posted earlier, moreover I have just found a new tool, which I think is most important, namely RunasSpc, this overcomes the problem of running applications that require admins rights on limited accounts without everybody knowing the admin password, as I always use a limited account to enhance security, this wonderful tool lets me run, some of the programs with admins rights without any problem. You may say just right click and put run as the problem is gone, but not every program lets you do that, and this encrypts the runas so is secure for anyone, besides being freeware. http://www.robotronic.de/runasspcEn.html
  2. Kurt_Aust , thank you so much for your kind words However, I don't know if users are aware but it seems that MS has left a bug on .net framework 4.0, making XP boot load considerably slower, when compared with its younger counterparts (Vista and forward) We need to compile the assemblies of all .net frameworks to overpass this flaw. http://pcmediks.blogspot.pt/2012/04/fix-for-slow-boot-up-after-installation.html I really don't know why MS hasn't fixed this, is probably an attempt for users to install on of its newer operating systems, however since we are trying to build a perfect iso, I'm guessing if it is possible to automate this procedure, or better still, to avoid this problem.
  3. I have tried my iso, well no bugs , but after I visited Windows Update, I needed to install some critical updates from .net framework 2 namely # ▼. NDP20SP2-KB958481-x64.exe . 19,282,272 . Application Compatibility Update # ▼. NDP20SP2-KB2656352-x64.exe 13,096,048 . MS11-100 - ASP.NET # ▼. NDP20SP2-KB2729450-x64.exe 31,280,648 . MS12-074 - 4 Vulnerabilities fixed # ▼. NDP20SP2-KB2742596-x64.exe 20,742,168 . MS13-004 - 4 Vulnerabilities fixed # ▼. NDP20SP2-KB2789643-x64.exe 11,963,400 . MS13-015 - XAML Browser Applications (XBAPs) However, I misinterpreted the tutorial, because I though that after installing .net framework 3.5 I didn't need any update from .net framework 2.0, like if .net 3.5 had a cumulative update that included everything that was left behind that version, well I need to rebuild my iso, to make it perfect, but if Windows Update does this job for me manually there's no big problem here. Another Issue, on the batch file the desktop search 4 is under Folder Addon, and I skip that, I pasted on the RunOnce folder, so another manually install, no problem (requires path file fix) So I only need to add 5 files to the Runonce Folder, and fix the path file for the desktop search, and I have a perfect XP x64 fully updated. Just another thing as a remark, this is extremely boring and time consuming, it takes forever to install the XP on a system more than a hour and something but on the other hand you have a perfect system fully updated on your finger tips.
  4. Ok bphlpt, I see your point, but thanks anyway, I'm only doing this for education purposes, not for profit gain, or to release to any ftp or public disclosure, I as yourself, defend the copyright issue, since I'm a developer and I like to defend my work
  5. Hi bphlpt, you are probably right, but I don't have the time for that, and the user who have made the first ISO (only critical updates, untouched, just updates), I trust on his work, mainly because I have a XP Home Edition Build on my laptop and is free of bugs, but moving forward, I have already my ISO untested, steps I have made: 1) Insert all Intel and Nforce Drivers for Sata (all the drivers from this website) 2) Integrated IE8 using 5eraph's Internet Explorer 8 Addon and Nlite 3) Integrated WMP11 using Boooggy's WMP11 slipstreamer 4) Unlocking TCP IP to 1000 connections and unlock uxtheme 5) Insert Product Key, Insert my regional keyboard and settings and adding on the "Runonce" parameter the instructions: TimeOut /T 40 CMD /R %Source%Run1_XP-64.bat 6) Copy and edit Run1_XP-64.bat trough the Kurt_Aust's tutorial 7) Copy all addition files namely .net 3.5, .net 4, Desktop Search, Windows Update Agent, Directx, powershell to the folder Runonce 8) Make Iso Now the only thing to remain is to burn the dvd and try the ISO But one thing I have noticed, if I firstly integrate WMP11 using the booogyy tool and 5eraph's Internet Explorer 8 Addon with Nlite I get an error that Txtsetup.sif is missing, but the opposite I get zero errors Another thing I have noticed is that on the regional settings I get a keyboard, which instead of having text, has a weird number like 000345, something like that, it should had something like US, UK,or Italian Keyboard, but then again, since is the first time I'm doing this, I reckon it must be like that
  6. Kurt:_Aust, thanks for your promply reply, actually, I'm going to build an XP x64 fully updated, but I have gathered the work of other person, a iso (updated until April 2013), and I 'm going to add to that iso, WMP 11, .Net framework, IE8 and Desktop search, I guess I need to clean some of your batch file to delete some batches of some stuff I don't need, on your RunOnce Folder, make some tweaks ( more IP connections, unlocked themes)
  7. I have an x86 ISO with all the .net framework integrated as a true addons, however I think this addons are only available for x86 operating systems, will it be available any day for a x64 system? It really makes a difference
