tomasz86
I've just changed hosting for my website. The old one (http://www.zymic.com) became extremely unstable and, as you've probably noticed, the website was unavailable very often recently. I hope that the new one (http://www.4ove.com) will be better. Of course, the address http://www.windows2000.tk is the same. Just as a side note, Mim0 also uses Zymic for his site and that's why it's offline at the moment.
tomasz86
Zymic is still down, and (as usually) no news from them about the current situation. Mim0, if you're reading this, I'd suggest looking for a different hosting provider. Zymic was OK in the past but starting from this year they've become extremely unreliable. Mim0
Back from holydays I read this.If zymic has problems with their service I should put the page to another hoster (http://www.4ove.com ?) and put a redirection to the old site. But I would like to to see the next days how stable zymic will be now.CU, Mimo

tomasz86
I've been using Google Drive as hosting for my website for some time and have experienced absolutely no problems at all since I switched to it, so I can highly recommend changing hosting or using Google Drive as an alternative one. Dropbox can also be used as hosting but the problem with it is that there's a download limit, breaking which results in temporary suspension of your public links, while Google Drive hasn't got any such limitation. The other advantage of this method is that files get automatically updated as you modify them on your computer so it's very convenient (no need to use FTP, etc.). In my case it's like this: 1. Hosting -> Google Drive 2. URL -> http://gweb.io/ (normally the Google Drive URL is long and ugly) 3. Redirection to gweb.io -> http://www.dot.tk/ 4. The final URL -> http://windows2000.tk/ Edited November 7, 2013 by tomasz86

SkyKiDS
Hi, Mimo!Your Windows XP updates list is missed an info about KB2345886.To use the features that this update includes, you must have Windows 7, Windows 2008 R2, or update 968389 installed on the computer. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 968389 Extended Protection for AuthenticationBoth KB970430 and KB2345886 require KB968389, and You noted the info to KB970430, but not to KB2345886.It looks better to add a line about it.Your Windows XP updates list is very nice. Thank you. Like yours, I am making a site for Korean.
tomasz86
Very useful to keep a historical set of files, in case the latest mod/update has issues. jaclaz Don't worry, that's what I've been doing for a long time I always make a backup copy of the last "final" version before starting modifying the files, and also don't make changes live but rather create a separate folder where I copy the files I want to update. This way it's still possible to check the changes online as soon as they've been done without messing around with the current public version of the website. I replace the previous files only after the new version has been completed and is ready to be made public. I also make an offline backup of all my content once a week but this is another story... In case of emergency Google Drive also offers option to restore previous versions of the files through its Web interface. Unfortunately the implementation is rather poor (compared to Dropbox) but it is there and may come handy sometimes although I'd definitely not rely on it on a daily basis.
