nitroshift
IMO a mixer is a must when recording music from multiple external sources, Anyway, I would use a mixer myself.
Mini123
Can you suggest a mixer to me?Thanks
Atmosphere XG
I do recordings all the time. Just send your mix out of your board into your computer. If you have a good sound card, I would suggest recording no less than @ 24 bit, 48000 Khz. If you can do 24 Bit, 96000 Khz, all the better!Of course, you'll do this in Wav for it offers no compression whatsoever. You can always convert it to any format you like later on. What program are you using the record? I'm using Wavelab.
Jeremy
For software recording, use Audacity. But if you're in a band then I suggest using a mixer and then transferring the music to the PC for editing if desired. bonestonne
if you want PC stuff, look at audacity, maybe even Adobe Audition, thats what i use, both are very good.
